WHY did we make this board?
Shoulder Width & Arm Positioning
- Women generally have narrower shoulders than men.
- On a narrower surfboard, their arms can extend more naturally into the water without hitting the rails (sides of the board).
- This means a cleaner, more efficient paddle stroke, which leads to smoother and often stronger paddling for their body type.
Weight Distribution
- Narrower boards tend to sit lower in the water, and for lighter surfers (many women are lighter than men of similar height), this can be an advantage.
- They don’t sink the board too much, so they keep a good glide without dragging too much water.
Less Rail Interference
- On wider boards, broader rails can get in the way of arm movement, especially for smaller surfers.
- Narrower boards reduce this issue, allowing for full reach and follow-through during each paddle stroke.
Better Fit for Smaller Frames
