Price above is for a complete thruster set of 3 fins
FUTURES ThermoTech White Thruster set
The F4 could be considered a Small version of a fin that blends characteristics of the EA and JC1. Now imagine the F2 is the Extra-Small size, the F6 is the Medium size and the F8 is the Large size. A full family to suit all size surfers.
F2 - X-Small (30 to 49 kgs)
F4 - Small (50 to 67 kgs)
F6 - Medium (68 à 80 kgs)
F8 - Large (+ 80 kgs)
At Futures we are excited to introduce the new ThermoTech line. We also increased the resiliency by adjusting the flex of the thermoplastic to closely mimic the feel of glass-ons. This allows a surfer to actually load up in turns by bending the fin, and then get whip out of their turns when it springs back rapidly. The new ThermoFlex fins are designed to break under impact to reduce the risk of injury. Each production fin's flex property is quantified on our flex fixture, and then we match the resin composite, glass fiber content, and the geometry of the fin to control the flex more precisely than ever.
F2, F4, F6, F8
Releasing the new F-Series ThermoTech templates is a huge accomplishment by our engineering and athlete teams. Working together to determine the desired feel for a fin in everyday surf, Futures customers now have a range of well balanced templates, originating from John John's all-around favorite, the F4. In addition, adding the Futures Truss Base has allowed us to make a lighter, stronger fin. The F4 could be considered a Small version of a fin that blends characteristics of the EA and JC1. Now imagine the F2 is the Extra-Small size, the F6 is the Medium size and the F8 is the Large size. A full family to suit all size surfers.
It's always exciting to release new technology to the market, and the new ThermoTech composites have been over a year in the making. Not only do these fins have a look of greater perceived value, but they feel unbelievably good in the water. Engineering has built new molds to completely redesign the flex pattern of the ThermoTech. One of the biggest benefits of manufacturing our boxes and composite fins right here in Huntington Beach is the ability to make changes, ride the fins, and make more changes. Every shaper that has seen the ThermoTech fins have been really stoked about the changes and the ability to provide economical fins with their boards that have a high performance look and feel. The F2, F4, F6 and F8 ThermoTech fins are available for order now.

Futures Fins began in a garage in California in 1996.
The Longo brothers had a reputation for tackling challenging aerospace parts and fabricating hydrogen fuel cells for research, but in 1996 they decided to combine their technical know-how with something they loved. Surfing. They have always considered building locally extremely important, and now this allows us at Futures to dream up a fin, design it, cut it and surf it, all in a matter of hours under one roof in Huntington Beach. With this ability, we constantly evolve our designs, creating new feelings and new experiences. Sharing these new innovations with other surfers is what fuels our devotion to progression.
As innovators, we are driven to improve, to never settle. Each wave is an opportunity to develop, to learn and grow. Surfers have been riding waves for hundreds of years, and it is with deep respect that we continually refine surf equipment with feedback from the elite surfers and shapers in the world. We continue to learn together so that we can in turn equip the beginning surfer to the world champ with the right product, and clear information so they can easily dial in their equipment. This is why we spend our resources on tools like The Ride Number and a bunch of in house engineers instead of relying on the next flashy advertising campaign.
